Plays and Texts

Each play, dramatic fragment, or related text is edited by a scholar or team of scholars. The old-spelling transcription is carefully encoded and proofread meticulously against the original; from this a modern-spelling text is generated, complete with annotations and thorough collation of textual variants and historical editions. The editors also prepare extensive critical and textual introductions, as well as supplementary documents illustrating the context and history of the play始s reception.
